I have begun thinking about my topic for this project and have landed on the concept of Microlearning. Specifically what it is and how it relates to and compares to traditional learning that we see in classrooms. I also want to learn and research more about its benefits and limitations, as well as if and how its growing in modern society and the world of education.

I have collaborated with my pod partner and we will be doing separate Free Inquiry topics and projects, but as a pod group I believe the consensus was to work together and share our ideas that we have researched and discussed in our individual topics and collaborate for our Online Learning Topic presentation project!
My plan is to research microlearning by gathering definitions and understanding examples of platforms of microlearning. As well as find out what really stands out to me and intrigues me about microlearning that I can research specifically and compare it to traditional learning, as well as my experiences with traditional learning in my schooling years.
Hi Ella,
I think your website design looks very cool. Your topic on Microlearning sounds very interesting and we should be able to implement your knowledge into the Online Learning Topic presentation for our pod group. I would like to also learn more about the definition and examples of Microlearning, since I don’t really know if it applies to the short content on the social media platform (e.g. YouTube Shorts) that I often used to learn about new knowledge in biology field.
Feel free to check my Free Inquiry Project update if you are interested: https://nathandus.opened.ca/free-inquiry-project-update-week-of-may-21st/
Thank you.
Hi Ella,
I really enjoyed reading your blog post on microlearning! One thing I really liked was how clearly you explained your interest in it and how you outline your research goals! With this, it really gave me a sense of your own curiosity and what direction you want to take your project and its scope. I also enjoyed reading how you connected your personal experiences with traditional learning and how it connects how you want to use that experience to further explore the subject of microlearning.
I wonder if you could give a few examples of microlearning platforms or tools you’re thinking of looking into? I believe that could help the readers think about the differences between those and what students are usually used to in classrooms.
As far as your blog organization goes, the layout is super clean and easy to navigate where it makes it clear where to find different pieces of your project. One thing to consider and something you might want to add is adding a few more menu items on the navigation bar to further organize blog posts and project updates.
You’re off to a great start and I’m excited to see how your project develops!
